Nihar is a strategic retail leader focused on driving consumer-oriented growth strategy. He is the Head of Retail Strategy and Innovation for Samsung Electronics America. He previously worked at JCPenney, where he served as Senior Director of Corporate Strategy. In this role, he was focused on utilizing consumer insights to drive strategic planning and growth initiatives for the company. Prior to joining JCPenney, he worked at Deloitte Consulting advising world-class retailers. He led client projects in long-range strategic planning, omni-channel product management, real estate strategy, and product development process enhancement, among others. Previous to his time at Deloitte, he completed his MBA at The Ohio State University with a concentration in Strategy. Before going back for his MBA, he spent several years working in Merchandise Planning and Buying at Mervyn’s, a regional department store located in the Bay Area. Nihar has spent his entire career in the retail industry and is passionate about how technology and innovation enable retailers to deliver better and more seamless customer experiences.
