Harnessing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and social media, Sharad Elhence founded the startup ArtsOnePass, a one-stop shop for all arts and culture events – visual arts, performing arts, history, and science & nature. He designed a revolutionary business model that helps arts and culture venues reverse the trend of dwindling audience by making it easy for consumers to find intriguing, nearby events, get best pricing, and add on dinner and other complementary activities. With more than 20 years in management consulting, Sharad specializes in advising technology startups in the areas of growth and new market entry. He served as Vice President for Strategy at North Highland, where he helped launch and grow the Strategy Services practice. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Infosys Consulting, serving as a Partner and Practice Leader, where he led the growth of its consulting practice from zero to $800 million – leading industry profitability. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer for enterprise software startup eCGsoft Inc., Vice President at i2 Technologies (now JDA Software Group), and as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he served clients in Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software, Energy, and Transportation industry on issues of strategy and operational effectiveness. He earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from State University of New York at Buffalo, and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. He lives in Dallas with his restaurant entrepreneur wife Sonia and enjoys travel, tennis, table-tennis and a diverse mix of arts and culture offerings.
