Mike Theilmann is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Dallas office and a member of the Consumer Markets Practice where he specializes in CEO, board and CHRO searches. He brings more than 25 years of global experience across retail, hospitality and consumer goods. Previously, Mike served as managing director overseeing venture capital investments for a family office. He served on the boards of LeapYear, Catapult Health, Bypass and Peeractive. Prior to that, he spent seven years of increasing responsibility with JC Penney. As Group Executive Vice President he led store operations, supply chain management, property development and human resources. Mike served in multiple human resources executive roles at Yum! across their US brands, corporate, and international. Earlier in his career, he worked at Diageo in human resources and with Towers Perrin as an actuary. Mike serves on the Board of Advisors of the Jay A. Baker Retail Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School. He is also a mentor with Retail Technology Ventures. Mike received his bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and a master’s degree in physics from the University of Nebraska.
