Prior to joining The Marketing Arm, where he focuses on Digital Media and more specifically distribution and paid media he ran the digital holdings for Mercury Radio Arts. As founding CEO of Plyfe, (acquired) he built a marketing engagement platform used by startups and agencies to create interactive experiences on mobile and web. Prior to Plyfe, Mateen co-founded a blue tooth couponing company called Songwhale (acquired) which had a services component helping brands in emerging markets like China, Hong Kong, Indonesia and the MEA. Mateen is passionate about the intersection of retail and technology as his roots were strategy for Target and Target.com.
